My love of music began in childhood whilst growing up in London. Every Saturday my father would give me six shillings and eight pence, and I would make my way to the local record shop to buy the latest single by The Beatles, Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black or whoever happened to be at the top of the charts that week.

As the years passed, my record collection continued to grow. During my teenage years I began creating my own cassette compilations, carefully selecting tracks and recording them for friends—a passion for sharing music that has remained with me ever since.

Over the past decade, under the name The Count DJ, I have created more than 800 carefully curated compilations, available to listen to on Mixcloud.

My musical tastes are wonderfully eclectic, ranging from spiritual and world music to jazz, blues, soul, easy listening, disco and psybient. Each compilation reflects a particular mood, memory or journey, inviting listeners to discover music that transcends genres and generations.
